So, patch 3.0.8

I want to address some of the changes that I, personally, find interesting.

Bonus Armor

Yep, we knew this was coming.

Racial restrictions on mounts

So ... Tauren riding chickens, and I suppose this means I can go get my mechanostrider. Or, you know, keep killing Kael'thas in H-MgT until the white one drops.

Tapping

I don't like that this is the de facto official term for what I call "tagging." That being said, while it doesn't affect me personally, it should make Neth happy.

Feral Attack Power

Okay, so instead of having poor DPS and huge bonuses to Fatp, now Fatp will scale with weapon DPS? Sure, why not. What I find puzzling is their assertion that they needed to change Strength to raw ATP to "make the weapons appealing to other classes."

Like which? The two weapons a feral is liable to equip (staves and two-hand maces) are usable by Warriors (for whom +STR is better), Paladins (ditto), Shamans (who won't care, since if they're mono-wielding they're casters), casters (who also won't care), and ... Hunters? Maybe? I can't remember if Hunters can use staves or not. Either way, seems like a silly change.

Genesis

I've been playing with a boomkin build lately, and had ignored Genesis ... though if it makes Hurricane tick for longer, it might be worthwhile? It's academic since it seems as though I'm going to have to play the Paladin after all.

Survival of the Fittest

BBB called it -- to make up for the missing armor from the above-listed armor change, ferals now get a huge buff from this talent. 66% bonus armor? How much does that work out to be? Is that 66% of base armor, or of the already-modified armor from Dire Bear and Thick Hide? The former is worthless, the latter would (I think) be about right.

Swipe (Cat)

Interesting.

Arcane Blast

Total overhaul. Means I get even more silly bursty, until they nerf it TO THE GROUND CHILD.

Arcane Flows

2-minute Evocate? Might need to rethink my glyph choices. Goodbye OOM.

Avenging Wrath

Well, at least it doesn't cause Forbearance anymore. The 30-second shared cooldown seems a bit odd, though -- would it really have been that hard to just make them mutually exclusive?

Hand of Reckoning

Hm. I guess I can drop Engineering if I want.

Not that I would. Just an observation.

Judgment of Wisdom

I didn't notice it doing anything terribly useful anyway.

Circle of Healing

I know a priest who thought this was on a six-second cooldown anyway. I suppose this means no more infinite angel heal-spams.

Levitate

Neat. I like it.

Ritual of Summoning

I have no complaints about this. Not that I've played a lock much, but it's a cool concept.

Titansteel Guardian

Bastards. How hard's the nerf going to be? Cus this thing ain't exactly cheap, and it took us four days to make.

Frost Resist Gear

Glad we got ours out of the way early.

Centrifuge Construct

... wha? More research is needed.
